CONTRIBUTE TO THE 2013/14 SERVICED APARTMENTS INDUSTRY REPORT - Your opinion matters!! by Bard Vos

Work is now underway on the 4th edition of the Global Serviced Apartments Industry Report, which will be published next summer and distributed to over 3,000 buyers, bookers and users of serviced apartments.
 
The report is again being compiled by Travel Intelligence Network on behalf of The Apartment Service, and the editors want serviced apartment operators, procurement managers and business travelers’ views on the burning issues in the sector. They especially want to hear from those who can provide a perspective on the issues within each international region.
 
The next edition of the report – already established as an in-depth reference tool for industry professionals – will again look at supply chain trends in Africa, Asia, Australasia, Central & South America, Europe, the Middle East, the USA & Canada. 
 
As Charles McCrow, Managing Director of The Apartment Service explains, a lot has happened in the two years since the last edition of the report was published, and he is anxious that the content of the latest edition should accurately reflect what has taken place in each region.

My Business Trip to Warsaw by Bard Vos & Maggy Sainsbury

During the month of October, I went on a Business Trip to the amazing Capital of Poland- Warsaw. Warsaw is the largest city of Poland and it has nearly 3 million residents. Warsaw is one of the fastest developing cities in The European Union and its financial centre hosts the headquarters of many banks and companies, and this offers great business opportunities. The city had to be rebuilt after being extensively damaged during the World War II but nowadays, there is a big industrial potential and an interesting telecommunication infrastructure.

I have had the pleasure to stay with Apartments Apart which is a great serviced apartment provider established in Warsaw as well as offering serviced accommodation other key cities destinations in Europe. The apartments are in excellent location and a great quality/ price ratio. I have also had the chance to meet up with other serviced apartments providers such as Intercontinental and extended stay suppliers such as Mamaison. Finally, I have met with a Relocation agent and a Real Estate Network agent. Their local expertise about products and services can help us in case we need to do a CAS (Complete Accommodation Solutions) for an area in demand in which we don’t have partners. Mel & Sara attend Global Workforce Symposium - ERC in Washington DC (3-5 October) by Bard Vos & Maggy Sainsbury

We arrived on Tuesday 2nd October ready to set up shop for the next 3 days at the Worldwide ERC 20132 in Washington DC.

This was a fabulous city to be in and presented an excellent opportunity to meet with colleagues in the relocation industry where The Apartment Service have become well known and to which offers fully serviced temporary accommodation.

 

 

 

Not only do we secure ongoing relationships, we build new ones with the relocation world and other accommodation providers in many other countries who we can work with as an agent and provider.

The ERC always manages to create a great atmosphere for networking and hosts some of the best evening events where the industry can really let their hair down. Not always a good idea with jet lag but it would have been rude not to!

After all the hard work, Friday night saw The Apartment Service, HCR and Coppergate International really excel themselves when we went on a 3 hour Sedgway tour of Washington giving us some memories and laughs we will never forget.

 

 

 

Can’t wait for next year…….
